With a focus on helping clients protect their life's work and secure their legacy, Katie takes pride in offering creative solutions that bring peace of mind for the future. Katie is originally from Southern Utah and has called Portland, Oregon home since 2018. Prior to attending law school, she worked for a nonprofit organization, where she developed a strong commitment to community service. This dedication to helping others ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in law.

Katie earned her Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law. During law school, she clerked with the Marion County District Attorney’s Office and participated in the Community and Environmental Justice Clinic. After graduating, Katie clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey S. Jones at the Clackamas County Circuit Court.

Katie's practice initially centered around family law, where she worked closely with individuals and families navigating some of life’s most challenging circumstances. This experience provided her with deep insight into complex family dynamics and reinforced the importance of compassionate, client-centered legal representation. Through her family law practice, Katie developed a strong interest in estate planning and its proactive role in supporting families. She witnessed firsthand how the absence of proper planning can lead to conflict, confusion, and unnecessary hardship during already difficult times. These experiences highlighted the importance of thoughtful, intentional planning to ensure that all family members are protected and that a client’s wishes are clearly defined. By providing clear guidance and compassionate counsel, she helps clients create plans that reflect their values, promote harmony, and provide long-term security and peace of mind.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family (including her two dachshunds), getting lost in a good book, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
